The People's Choice

Sorry to the cake people (see kitchen photo below) and to the Damien fanciers (I just couldn't face the risk of thumbed brown envelopes of naked grocers dropping through my letterbox). This is all I could manage with the time and sanity available.

Urchins

Weepette/shoe porn

Inexplicable scenes live from the Waffledome tonight:

Found. Right there. "WHO PUT THE SNAIL ON THE COMPUTER? AND WHILE I'M AT IT, WHO PUT LUMINOUS ORANGE MARKER ON THE DOG'S HEAD?"

A 3D wafflebara is one of those 'only in the movies' things, Monk.

A 2D wafflebara, however, is a little easier.

(Yes, all day, including conducting three interviews)

Now where did I see one of those wafflebaras before?

Wafflebaras are beautiful works of art. See, weepette agrees with me. Also insist no one will have noticed ladder in tights. Anyone who did is UTTERLY rubbish and should learn to appreciate good shoes.

that's it! that's what i'm missing!! i got the shoes, now i need the adorable puppy to pose seductively around them!! loving the birthday celebrations.. congratulations xx

oh sweet baby nathan, the shoes they are gorjeeesus (tm). Thank you for the shoes, I didn't want to mention they were missing from the last post. Shoes of loveliness. The urchins are adorable and make me miss my urchin even more. Humphrey would love the weepette, nay he would adore him. I see your kitchen and raise you mine. A couple of years ago all the cool crafty blogs did 'a corner of my home', the pictures were always arty and beautiful and I felt so ashamed. I propose a new version of 'a corner of my home' where we try to outdo each other while embracing our slatternish tendencies. Anyone?

the shoe/weepette porn mavellous! truly seductive look from the weepette - what was being held up from behind the camera???

*sigh* I see I'm going to have to submit photos of my kitchen in order to convince you that yours, in comparison, is perfectly tidy and normal. Photos will follow after exams, during "Operation 'Post-Exam House' Apocolypse Correction".

Love the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeppette.
And the 2D capybara. Well done and congrats.

I take that as a challenge.

cute kiddies! cute/cheeky smiles...you lucky girl!

nice kitchen, too. not really that bad in the slattern stakes, no real LONG TERM evidence of slatterny...you're doing fine!

screamish said...

ps whats that brown thing to the left of the olive oil?

expateek said...

And they say only the French eat snails! Pah!

Screamish - it's "pottery". One day this too shall be yours.

Yay for gratuitous shoe/weepette porn LLGxx

Your keyboard needs some garlic butter. As does Weepette.

I want those shoes...but after having my brand new phone nicked in London and discovering the outrageous amount of money SFR want to replace it I fear I shall spend the summer in flip-flops, or as they say here 'tongs'. Sigh, a girl can dream!

Mr Farty - wow. I'm like a sculptor. But using waffle. Hurrah!

Dei - Huh; you are very kind to suggest that, but probably not employed in the dungeons of eurotedium, where a ladder in tights keeps them busy for a week..

Exromana - I will protect them from tiny sharp teeth with my life, rest assured!

Tragicanon - Yes, the puppy is essential(though on occasion very tiresome). Move to Tokyo so you can hire one when the occasion demands it?

Pochyemu - I didn't take a picture of the moth trap of death. Not for public consumption.. If you need a fright I'll email you..

Peevish - it's not up to your high sculpting standards. But I can work on it before the summer.

Monk- I am delighted to hear that. DO YOUR WORST.

Screamish - you remember I have a cleaner once a week? Yeah. No credit due here.

Expateek - pah indeed. Very nourishing amuse bouches.

LLG - I know what my public wants... (well, you)

Dave - that can easily be arranged. But I'd rather have a jar of Steve's RAAAAWR Sauce.

ParisGirl - oh, boo. Sarko should institute some shoe 'subvention', no?

I also love your blog. I found it through the wonderful Liberty London Girl. I love your blog because you write so beautifully, and you make me snort at work and mainly because you understand how weird life is. And because I miss Brussels and all its wonderful strangeness and now I live in San Francisco and am too far to hop over for the weekend like I used to do when I wanted to escape from London. Most particularly I miss Rusty Rutch at the Place du Jeu de Balle.

Thank you for all your vegetable creations. You are a genius.

I love your urchins. They could be in an adaptation of Waterbabies (very depressing justification of child labor).
We should have a slattern-off contest.
I can send a photo of my christmas tree - still in my living room.
And the giant air compressor in the middle of our bedroom. Sexy.

Nice shoes.

Love the wafflebaras. Even the misshapen 3D one. And I see you are also familiar with my trusty friend the Bertolli sauce, or 'dinner in 1 minute' (if you don't count the time it takes for the pasta to cook).
WV is 'national'. This is getting scary. I think the WV machine is developing artificial intelligence.

I have left you a present on my blog and in your inbox.

My wv is "outwee". Just who is outweeing whom, is what I would like to know. Urchins! Shoes! Wafflebaras! Really, who could ask for anything more? I applaud you for your colorful shoes. Sadly my own assortment run the gamut from A to B, which is to say from black to dark mushroomy taupe. The snail is oddly lovely, I feel; perhaps because the computer keys make it evident just how tiny it is.

Happy (now belated) blogbirthday! I'm glad you're here.

Belated blogbirthday greetings from here, too. You rock my world -
